In this unit, students learn how their interests and skills can lead to exciting jobs and careers. They will assess their interests and skills, as well as have an opportunity to fill out job applications, and experience the job interview process.

Included in this section are the following resources:Teachers may choose to introduce elections as a component of job placement for JA BizTown. This lesson is the first application activity of Lesson 2, page 34. Visit this section to find the documents that will provide suggestions to facilitate classroom elections as well as related forms

Teachers may opt to hold elections for selected positions, particularly for the Mayor/Chairman and IRS Agent/Treasurer. Elections are an excellent opportunity to allow citizens to practice important life skills.
The following resources will help teachers in the process of assigning jobs:
- Download the Job Descriptions to provide students a basic understanding of each job's responsibilities.
- Use the Student Job Assignment List to record the students' names and their respective job.
- Email the completed excel form to your JA representative two (2) weeks before your visit.
